Ottoway Engineering has recently completed the Civil and Mechanical works for the Meter Stations located in Adelaide and Port Campbell.
The Meter Stations form part of the SeaGas Pipeline Project, a 685km pipeline from Port Campbell, Victoria to Pelican Point, Port Adelaide, SA. Scope of work included construction of all civil footings, fabrication of all pipework and supporting steelwork, NDT and hydrostatic testing, surface treatment, on site installation including installation of client supplied equipment and commissioning.
There are four meter stations located in Adelaide, (Pelican Point, Torrens Island and Cavan (2 off)) and two at Port Campbell located at the commencement of the pipeline (Iona). Construction work commenced in early August with the completion of the Cavan Station in late November. Commissioning of the line and Meter Stations will take place in December 2003 with Gas flowing in January 2004.
