Ottoway Engineering successfully managed this project with a work crew of 90 for an eight-week duration. The crew welded 200,000 plates, requiring 35 tonnes of welding rods and 15,000 nine-inch grinder wheels to complete the contract.

Almost 100 tonnes of plate and structural steel was fabricated in modular form, undercoated and packed into sea containers for export to Woodbridge-Henderson's new manufacturing plant at Leon in Mexico. The work was completed under severe time constraints in order to meet ship sailing times and avoid compromising the balance of the project which will incorporate robotics technology to provide a fully automated system for car seat production.
