Our current Safety Management Manual includes our Policies, Safe Work Procedures and Emergency Response Plan and is available at our Ottoway premises for inspection on appointment.
We use the pro-active process of pre-start hazard identification, risk analysis, control measure implementation and on-going training as the major steps in the prevention of accidents and incidents.
A project specific Safety Management Plan is established and approved by the Client prior to commencement of any site works if so required by the contract. The plan will be designed to reflect the results of the pre-start investigation study and will clearly describe the associated hazards/risks as well as the methods, equipment, first aid facilities and PPE required to eliminate or minimise the associated risk.
In the event of any Accident or Incident, whether Safety, Security or Environment related, Ottoway Engineering Pty Ltd has established strict guidelines for investigation, reporting, corrective action and follow-up procedures which are a direct reflection of Company, Statutory and Client requirements.
Where Ottoway Engineering Pty Ltd is the project's prime contractor, we assume overall responsibility for subcontractor Safety performance. They will, as a minimum, comply with the safety management plan and the procedures established for the project ensuring conformance with all relevant legislation, standards and specifications.
